I am a Maori woman living in Birraranga, Australia. I’ve made a home for myself here over the past six years.

I'm an underwear designer and have recently launched my own brand of bamboo basics and underwear, BARE.

I had always wanted to bring creativity back into my career. I wanted to create a sustainable brand, and I came up with the idea of BARE with the help of my friend Kirby.

On beauty and health
I am addicted to Pilates. I go five times a week. I find it helps me find focus and strength.

I would say I am very low maintenance but still boujee when it comes to beauty and skincare. I am into acids big time. I use Dr, Dennis Gross peel pads religiously and Lactic Acid from The Ordinary and I moisturise with rosehip oil. I don't wear much makeup but do love a dewy skin with a blushed cheek and I always fill my brows in with my MAC eyebrow pencil. I use Benefit Radiance foundation and Nars creamy concealer if I am making an effort, and I love Benefit Roller Lash mascara.

On rituals
I always take my makeup off. In fact, I always shower before bed no matter what time I crawl in. I would have to be particularly tipsy or swept up to not wash my makeup off at the very least. I also always moisturise my body after I shower.

Tell us about BARE
BARE is a sustainable, ethical underwear and basics label created with women/femmes of colour in mind. I launched with inclusive nudes and intend to create a spectrum of browns. BARE is also size-inclusive, at the moment servicing XS to XXL and we are adding 3X and 4X this year.

My first collection is called PARAURI, which means brown in Maori. Currently, we have seven pieces and three more in the sampling process.I’m really excited to launch new things.

On her fave books and podcasts
My favourite podcasts are Silent Waves by Raquel O’Brien and Hey Aunty by Shantel Wetherall.
At the moment I'm reading Cane by Jean Toomer.

On her favourite music
Beyonce obvi because she has just blessed us and I cannot deal.

On her fave spot in Melbourne
Terror Twilight in Collingwood — the coffee is perfect, the food is delicious and they let me work there for longer than is respectful.
